HaveHope Day Care believes parent/provider communication is key to a successful childcare relationship. Beyond communication, we provide a healthy, safe, and loving home-like environment for all children where they can learn and grow on a daily basis. The information in this handbook is well thought out and comes from many years of experience. Our policies are in place to ensure a peaceful environment for all parents, all children, and ourselves.
Since there is a broad range of behaviors exhibited by children, what works for some children may not work for others. We will tailor our teaching approach to accommodate the needs of the individual child. Some of the activities your child will experience are large motor skills, small motor skills, language, math, science, art, reading, computer activities, and social interaction. We want to help children grow at their own pace. At HaveHope, it is important that children are taught to respect each other, adults, and property. Development of children's confidence and self-esteem is a goal of the program.
Young children do really well when the program has a structured lesson plan. Lesson plans help the day go smoother and allows the children to anticipate coming events and aids in achieving a variety of goals. We will adhere to a written schedule to the best of our ability. There will be times when there has to be adjustments to the lesson plan.
Demand for daycare facilities continue to grow day by day, but all too often, institutions are only able to focus on either allowing the child to enjoy their childhood and develop naturally or forcing the child to focus only on mental development in order to achieve high test scores later on in life.
Our goal is to promote every child's development individually using an appropriate mix of academic and recreational activities.
